He is a true "rescue". He came from a farm in Kansas with MANY others who had been living in deplorable conditions because of bad money management. The owners of the farm gave up custody/ownership of the hounds they had to the "greyhound rescues". Had they not done that, the local animal shelters would have come in a taken them and you can only imagine what would have happened to most of those dogs, including Logan. Teddy says the owners opted not to be there when the dogs were picked up. Teddy said it was a good thing as there probably would have been some verbal confrontation. Anyway, it appears some of the enclosures were re-enforced with barbed wire. (Wonderful Idea don't you think ) Logan was in one of those enclosures and more than likely caught his scrotum on the fencing. When they found him he was emaciated, testicles were hanging out of the scrotum sack and he had ripped himself all the way back to his anus. HE WAS NOT IMPALED as I was first told. Because of his injuries and his frail condition they were not sure he would survive. Had the animal shelter come in they are sure Logan and many others would have been destroyed.
