| Rocky crossed the bridge
on Saturday April 4, 2008. Rocky's story . One of our volunteers, Lydia, did a project for her high school class about Greyhounds. The presentation went very well. Afterwards a class mate came up to her and told her about an ad in the 'Big Nickel' for a free Greyhound. She called Sher to let her know. Sher called and talked to a Humane Society volunteer in Rock Springs, WY. The volunteer had turned down several other callers. It was like she was waiting for us to call. Rebecca and Sher set off to rescue Rocky. Rocky was suffering from extreme neglect. He is starting to put on the needed 10 lbs. He is on antibiotics to see if the vet can save his teeth but it doesn't look good. Rocky is a gentle, loving Grey. He will steal your heart. An amazing chain of events. Click here for Rocky's operation. Click here for Rocky's progress. The first four pics are the most recent. As you can see, Rocky is healing very well and is happy. The sad face is normal for him. Update 06/29/2004 Rocky Road is officially part of our pack. |
