Crates
If you need to crate your Grey make sure you get the correct size. Below are pics of three crates that we use. When picking out a crate don't go by what it says on the crate box. They are referring to other breeds of dogs. Their sizing is not necessarily correct for a Greyhound. When considering a crate, take into consideration that the gate opening has to be tall enough so they don't scrape their back on the wire. Even though the wire is plastic coated, it can still inflict pain. If you have any questions, call or email us.
The measurements for the crates are in this format, widthXheightXdepth.
The crate below on the left is 32X32X48. This is good for a Grey up to 90lbs. The gate lifts up and rests on the top of the crate.
The one on the right is 28X31X42. This is good for a Grey up to 65lbs. The gate opens to the left.
The crate below is 30X32X48. It is good for a Grey up to 75lbs. It has two gates. One opens to the left on the front and the other opens to the left on the side of the crate which is how we have it set up.
The crate to the right is 30X341/2X48. The metal on this one is not plastic coated but seems to not present a problem. This is good for a Grey up to 90lbs.
