Ariel (Lurcher aka The Wookie) is a 46 lb. blonde/orange female born approx Nov. 2005. She is a one-of-a-kind Lurcher. She is Greyhound and
Deerhound (this was suggested on a Lurcher site). They also suggested Whippet and Deerhound could be possible.
She is very playful and loves being petted. Claudia of the Greyhound Gang found her
tied out in a back yard in southern Utah. She asked us if we would take her. There was no question in our minds that
we would not. We will help Lurchers as well as ex-racers. We had two Lurchers before, Chance
and Rocky. There is a decent definition of Lurcher on Wikipedia.
Her best friends are Kepi and Cody.

Update 11/05/2007: Ariel weighs 54lbs now. She is about 2 inches taller and 4 to 6 inches longer. I've included a viewer
with a couple of movies of her below. The faster your connection, the faster it will load.
Update 07/25/2008: Ariel (The Wookie) has been with us for almost a year. We had a woman from Mass. interested in her and
wanted to fly her back there. We decided that we will probably adopt her, soon.
Update 12/21/2008: Wookie has grown into an impressive Lurcher. She is 64lbs and full of it.
